STAR*PAC, the "Stop The Arms Race Political Action Committee", was founded in 1980 and is dedicated to political action which will prevent the proliferation of arms development, sale, and use worldwide.  STAR*PAC seeks to mobilize Iowans to raise war and peace issues in the 2008 election season .
